If you lead a team, this quality is essential

I love this quote that jumped out at me from a US university website:

“Without credibility you may end up being a leader of one — yourself.”

So true, isn’t it?

The word credibility comes from the Latin “credibilis - worthy to be believed”.

In an age where infobesity is a common term, an onslaught of even more information won’t help your teams, especially when they’re struggling with the challenges of our changed world.

What they need from you as leader is a new level of discernment and expertise in the way you communicate so you’re clear, open, compassionate and human.

Your team is looking to you as a trusted voice. Grow the qualities that ensure you’re always worthy to be believed.

Don’t become a leader of one if you need to be credible for many.
